A New Approach in Tutoring…The Learning Coach!

Matt Nelson is now working with students and student-athletes of all ages to provide customized tutoring to help them achieve and exceed their goals for success. Our mission is to help the student excel in the short-term (in a specific class), while also incorporating a wholistic coaching philosophy to help the student build confidence, study skills, and a lifelong love for learning.

Together, we will develop a personalized Game Plan for Success (our customized “GPS”) built around the student’s goals, learning style, and schedule. This will help us navigate the following goals:

  • Subject-specific coaching to learn math, language arts, history, science or business (at the elementary, middle school, or high school level)

  • Coaching for the college application process:

    • Developing a strategy for the college application process

    • Preparing for SAT/ACT tests by understanding what to expect

    • Improving college applications in terms of content & essay writing

Our Mission and Passion

We take a coaching approach to tutoring. We believe in the learning process. We believe students can “learn how to learn” and apply those lessons to all courses and activities they pursue. This means mastering the subject material and understanding how to organize, plan, and succeed. Our goal is to help each student achieve better grades and performance, but more importantly, to develop a lifelong love of learning with confidence and belief in their abilities.
